Out of bounds and lost ball
rule: When a shot goes out of bounds, you have the option to proceed
under the stroke and distance rule or alternatively you can take a drop
on a line from where the shot crossed out of bounds line up to 2 club
lengths into the fairway no closer to the pin, with a 2 stroke penalty.
In the case of a tee shot the player would be hitting 4 after the drop.
(If player chooses to hit a provisional ball, that is the ball in
play, unless the original ball is found in bounds.
If the original ball is not found in bounds and the provisional
ball also went out of bounds, the drop as described for out of bounds
will be followed from where the provisional ball went out of bounds. In
the case of a tee shot, the player would be hitting 6 at that point).
